Maintenance method of printer

1. Develop the good habit of shutting down
The panel of household inkjet printers is generally very simple, usually only one or two buttons, and some even do not. The functions of these buttons are nothing more than to switch the power supply and start the printing self-test step. After a long time of use, many users began to be lazy. They often did not bother to press the power button to turn off the printer, either unplugging the power plug or turning off the switch of the patch panel. Who knows, this is often harmful and unhelpful. Because after the normal shutdown, the machine will automatically reset the print head and put a "cap" on the ink cartridge to prevent ink evaporation. However, if the "forced" shutdown mode such as pulling out the power plug is adopted, the print head often has no time to reset and the top can not cover the ink cartridge. Therefore, it is very easy to cause the positioning failure of the print head, the ink is also easy to volatilize, and the thickened ink may block the print nozzle. As a result, the life of the ink cartridge is reduced and the chances of printer failure are increased. Therefore, we must develop the correct habit of shutting down.
2. Do not use inferior printing paper
Due to cost considerations, many families generally do not choose expensive special inkjet printing paper when printing, and usually use copy paper instead. It's not hard to do this, but we must choose the copy paper with high quality. The paper should be dense and smooth, without too much paper powder. Because the poor quality copy paper has loose paper and rough surface, the print head will be seriously worn, thus reducing the service life of the printer.
3. Tips for storing ink cartridges
In the household inkjet printer, ink cartridge should be the most important consumable. If we want to reduce the printing cost, we must start from the ink cartridge. Since most home users do not usually use the printer, and the amount of printing at one time is not large, the home printer is always used for a period of time, and then idle for a period of time. How to effectively save the opened ink cartridge? We should carefully remove the plastic cover when unpacking the outer package of the new ink cartridge to keep the outer package of the ink cartridge intact. In this way, when the ink cartridge is not used temporarily, we will put it back into the plastic box and seal the opened plastic cover with double-sided tape to ensure that the ink cartridge is isolated from the outside.
4. Do not worry about paper jam on the printer
Domestic inkjet printers basically use a direct paper feed channel, that is, the paper is fed from the top. The printing paper is almost sent out from the bottom without bending, so the phenomenon of paper jamming is greatly reduced. However, some printers designed by turning the printing paper in the printer are relatively prone to paper jam. In addition, when multiple sheets of printing paper are wrapped into the paper due to electrostatic adsorption, or when the printing paper is uneven and warped, paper jam may occur in various inkjet printers. In this case, you must not rashly pull out the clamped paper. Doing so may damage the relatively small plastic conveying gear and cause paper feeding failure of the printer. The correct way is to turn off the power supply, unplug the power plug, and then open the front cover of the printer. If necessary, remove the ink cartridge, and then pull the printing paper along the direction of the gear to transport the paper, slowly and carefully take out the paper.
5. Do not clean the print head frequently
Some models of inkjet printers provide the option of cleaning the print head in the driver software, which can realize regular cleaning, manual cleaning or cleaning before printing. Although the printing effect can be improved after cleaning the print head, it takes a lot of ink to clean the print head. We can completely set the option of cleaning the print head to manual cleaning, and then manually perform the cleaning operation when the print quality is found to be degraded, which will save valuable ink.
